Lexington BBQ Festival 2013

Here are some pictures of the festival.  We didn't get many as we were busy eating bbq!

They annual sand sculpture.  It was very cool!

Sniles!  Tamera has both!

Tori enjoying the afternoon milk break.

Tori and Dakota had fun playing.  This was right after the pig race.

Look over there Nana!

I thought this was a really sweet chain saw that one of the competitors was using during the log cutting competition.

I think Dakota wants a chain saw.

Some October Update

October is here, and gone, but we had a great time!  October is BBQ festival time.  We did our first BBQ festival in Lexington NC.  During our trip we were able to visit family.  Tori and Dakota had a great time hanging out and talking giberish to each other.

Dakota couldn't remember if he should be scared of Tori.  The last visit was still traumatic.

Oh, a phone!

Hello!

Nana Ruth came up to visit.  Tori was very happy to see her.

The two obviously had a great time.

Tori and Dakota wandered off to play in the dog crates.

There's a new cot in town, and they both had a fun holding it down.

Just hanging out.

A giant exersize ball, what could go wrong?

Again, a cardboard box.  Life is so simple.

Mamaw the tickle monster came out.

Sleep?

And so ended a great day in Lexington!

Closet Makover

Tori gets a closet make over.  This was due mostly to the fact that her closet space was sacrificed for a new return air duct for the furnace / AC that was upgraded this summer.  We went all out.  Daddy spent lots of time building the bulkhead.  Once that was done, daddy could then make all the shelves.  Oh, it is even lit up with new low voltage LED lighting.  I wish my closet was this nice!

Tori is helping out, under supervision of mommy.

Daddy is stuck until Tori moves.  It was a standoff!

Uh oh, that's not a step!  Where is that supervisor?

Daddy was not amused.

All finished and moved back in!

Tori checking it out.  Seems to approve.

Yup, stuffed animal fits!

Happy girl once again!
