St. Croix

Here is our island vacation.
Started out 11° in Columbus to catch the first flight out to Miami.

We landed in Miami a few hours later after a nice flight on an Embraer ERJ-145 twin jet.  It's a nice small plane.

It was here we found these!

Now we are waiting for our next flight to St. Croix.

We arrived!

View from Matthews place.

More to come tomorrow.

Happy Friday.  Pancakes and a morning walk.

Went to Point Udall.  Eastern most point of the United States.  Nice views.

Another view.

Visited the Cruzan distillery.

We went and saw the beer drinking pigs.

These guys were good can crushers.

One of the days was a dog parade on the boardwalk.  Some of the dogs were very cool.

The next day we were able to spend some time on a beach.  It really was nice.

While I went to go fishing the rest of the group went  horseback riding.

Went out to try some fishing.   It was really cool.  The boat owner/captain was a friend of Matthew's.

The sea was so very calm it was like a lake.   This picture is St. Croix island looking east.  We were about 12 miles from shore.
Even got to drive the boat.

Today we did a little shopping and lounged around on Protestant Cay island in Christiansted Harbor.  This is the same island in the view of our balcony.

The last day we went over to St. Thomas to check out the island.  Our flight left from St. Thomas.

Overlooking the British Virgin Isles.
